Siobhan's Therapy Space
Counselling in Clarkston and Online
Sometimes anxiety means replaying conversations long after they’ve ended, worrying about what others think of you, or feeling under pressure to get everything right. You might struggle to switch off after work, constantly second-guess yourself, feel overwhelmed by expectations or find that low self-esteem is affecting your confidence at work and in everyday life.
At Siobhan’s Therapy Space, I offer counselling for adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, intrusive thoughts, low self-esteem and work-related stress. I also support children who are struggling with anxiety, worries, big emotions or feeling overwhelmed, providing a safe space to explore what’s troubling them. My integrative approach, rooted in CBT, helps us make sense of these difficulties and find ways to manage them at a pace that feels right.
Based in Clarkston, I offer in-person counselling on Saturday mornings, with weekday appointments also available.
Online appointments are available too.

About me
Hi, I'm Siobhan
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I support adults and young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, low self-esteem and intrusive thoughts, using an integrative approach.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent seven years working in education, supporting students and developing knowledge of child development, attachment and early experiences. I have also worked within a mental health charity, supporting people through a range of life challenges. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the factors that can affect our wellbeing and inform my work with clients today.
My own experience
My interest in counselling is also personal. Having experienced periods of anxiety and low mood myself, I understand how difficult it can be when your thoughts feel overwhelming or you don't quite feel like yourself.
Counselling gave me the space to better understand my experiences and make sense of what I was going through. It helped me recognise the value of having someone who listens without judgement, and this experience played an important part in my decision to become a counsellor.
How I work
I offer a warm, down-to-earth and collaborative approach. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong or have everything figured out before you come to counselling. We'll work together to understand what's going on for you and explore what might help, at a pace that feels right for you.

Compassionate Support
After booking
Once you’ve booked online, I’ll get in touch by email with a few follow-up questions and some forms to complete before your first session. These include an intake form and counselling agreement, which help me understand what you ’re looking for from counselling and make sure you know what to expect.
